PREPARATION FOR APPOINTMENT

Kindly attend the studio 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment with exfoliated skin free of any product such as moisturisers, serums and makeup.

Please do not use any new products or receive cosmetic procedures within 2 weeks of your scheduled appointment as any skin reactions may affect the integrity of the makeup application.

Lashes are supplied by Fiona Dakis Makeup. Should you wish to bring any makeup product/s, Fiona Dakis is able to apply these as part of your makeup service.

DELAYS

A bridal trial requires 1.5-2hrs and event makeup requires 1hr of makeup application. Please note that as the appointments are back-to-back, should you be late to your scheduled appointment, this will impact the quality of your makeup application. If you are more than 30mins late, a makeup application will not be attempted and your deposit will be forfeited.

DEPOSITS 

A deposit of $50 is required for all bookings for each client. When you pay a deposit, it signifies that Fiona Dakis Makeup will provide the selected services on the appointment date and time that you have selected. Once a deposit is paid, you enter into a contract with Fiona Dakis Makeup for said services.

If Fiona Dakis Makeup is not able to provide the service on the time and date that you have selected, you will be referred to an alternative makeup artist and should this be unacceptable to you, your deposit will be refunded. Please note that prior to booking a bridal makeup trial, you are required to ensure that your wedding date is available as bridal trial deposits are non-refundable. Should you not be able to attend the appointment due to lockdown pandemic, you will be provided with a credit note.  

Deposits are not refundable or transferable should you no longer be able to attend on the selected time and date. Online deposit payments will be applied towards your total on the day of your scheduled appointment.

PAYMENT

The balance of payment (less the $50 deposit) is due and payable upon completion of the makeup application. This is payable by way of cash or card (no surcharge).

Please note that the balance of bridal party fees are payable two weeks prior to the wedding date via bank transfer. Should this not be paid, Fiona Dakis is unable to perform said services.

LIABILITY

All makeup products and brushes are sanitised between every makeup application. A pre-washed brush set is used exclusively on one client and disposable products such as mascara wands, cotton tips and lip brushes are utilised.

Any skin condition should be reported by the client to Fiona Dakis prior to makeup application and, if no alternate product is available, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the client’s skin to test for reaction. Client/s agree to release Fiona Dakis from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

Please note that the personal safety of Fiona Dakis and clients are paramount. Therefore, services will not be performed where there are contagious infections or illnesses such as COVID-19, conjunctivitis, cold sores and so on. Please note that under the circumstances of any contagious illnesses and infections, the deposit will be retained. If you are suffering from any contagious infection or illness, kindly cancel your appointment at the earliest convenience.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MOBILE GLAM AND MOBILE BRIDAL SERVICES

A table (work area) is required to be made available for Fiona Dakis. The bench is required to be at least 1 metre in height off the ground. Should the work area not have abundant natural light, a power outlet (extension cord if outlet is not in close proximity to table) is required.

BRIDAL POLICY

Please ensure that your date is available prior to booking your bridal trial as bridal trial deposits are non-refundable. A minimum of 3 people is required for bridal party mobile makeup as well as travel fees depending on location.

Upon submitting a Bridal Enquiry form (located on this website under Services – Bridal Makeup), you will be provided with a quote within 48 hours. Should you wish to accept the quote, please provide your written acceptance. Please note that your wedding date will be held for one week. You are required to pay a deposit ($50 per person) to secure your wedding date. This is payable via bank transfer.

The balance of the bridal fees are due and payable two weeks prior to the wedding date via bank transfer. Should this not be paid, Fiona Dakis will not attend to perform said services and your date will be forfeited.

Should any travel fees, parking fees or airfares be required, this will form part of the quote and is payable by the client. Airfares will need to be paid at the time that the deposit is paid.

In the unfortunate circumstance where the bride or groom has to reschedule their wedding, the deposit can be used for the new date, subject to availability and provided 6 months’ notice is provided. If 6 months’ notice is not provided, a new deposit is required.

PRIVACY POLICY

Your personal information includes your email address, phone number and address. When you make an online booking, we do not store your credit card details on any computers or servers administered by us.

We are committed to the privacy of customer information. We comply with all applicable data protection and privacy legislation affecting your personal information and how it is collected, used and shared. Your rights are protected by law and this policy does not limit those rights. You will be notified when any personal information is required to be disclosed to third parties. We will not disclose, sell or provide any of your personal information to a third party without your consent.
